About AquaTradeHub

We are building a specialised B2B marketplace for water and wastewater treatment, starting from a community of professionals who already trade advice, contacts and experience every day.

Where AquaTradeHub comes from

AquaTradeHub started as an online community for people who work in water and wastewater treatment: plant operators, process engineers, procurement teams, consultants, manufacturers and distributors. Today our Facebook group has 75,000+ members and our page has 15,000+ followers.

The same questions come up in that community again and again. Where can I buy this membrane? Who makes a dosing pump that handles this chemical? Is this quote reasonable? Can anyone recommend a supplier in my region? AquaTradeHub exists to give those questions a better home than a comment thread.

The problem we are working on

Sourcing in the water industry is fragmented. Buyers move between personal contacts, industry groups, general search engines, printed catalogues and individual company websites. General B2B marketplaces list water treatment products alongside everything else, which makes technical comparison difficult. Suppliers, in turn, find it hard to reach buyers outside their existing network.

What we are building

The AquaTradeHub marketplace is in development. It is designed around four steps:

  1. Discover products and suppliers. Search specialised water and wastewater treatment products across manufacturers, suppliers and service providers.
  2. Compare technical information. Review specifications, capacities, materials and commercial details side by side in one place.
  3. Submit an RFQ or request information. Send a request for quotation or ask for technical documentation directly from the listing.
  4. Connect with relevant businesses. Get introduced to the suppliers, manufacturers and engineering professionals that match your requirement.

The marketplace is not live yet, and no purchases take place on this website. Businesses can register their interest to hear about launch and early access.

  • Sourcing guides for each of the 14 product and service categories the marketplace will cover, explaining what to compare and what to ask suppliers.
  • Our professional community, where members exchange technical advice and supplier recommendations.
  • Early registration for buyers and suppliers who want to be involved from the start.

How we write our guides

Our sourcing guides are written for buyers who need to make good decisions without being specialists in every product. We follow a few rules:

  • Figures are presented as typical values or rules of thumb, and every guide tells readers to confirm against supplier data.
  • We do not recommend brands or accept payment for inclusion in a guide.
  • Each guide shows the date it was last reviewed, and we update guides when readers or community members point out errors.

What we do not claim

We want to be clear about where AquaTradeHub stands today. Business profiles will be reviewed for completeness, but AquaTradeHub does not currently run a supplier verification or certification programme. Images of plants and equipment on this site are illustrative and do not show specific suppliers' products.
